I'd like to share a layout this evening, which has been a rare occurrence lately! I've been so caught up in card making this fall/early winter that I've been neglecting my scrapbooking, which was really my first love! I'd like to thank my friend Samantha for lighting a fire under me to get going with scrapping again now that the holidays are over. She's started a great group called Sketch Challenges, which you will find a link to on her blog, which will entice me to complete a layout once a week- just what I need to get caught up!
This one is not for a challenge, just one of my favorite all-time photos that I had been wanting to get onto a page...
I had attemped to pose them for a Mother's Day photo to frame for the Grandma's, when their natural, loving, playful relationship took over and the most adorable candid photo was created. They truly adore each other and this is a picture that surely captures this love- a love that I cherish above all and feel so blessed to be able to observe this sweet relationship blossom each day!
I used patterned paper from MME, title and journaling tags too (29th Street Market collection). I did some sanding, machine stitching, and added some paint. Finishing touches were made with primas, hemp, some trim, a button, and my new love, eye candy- such sparkling little gems from creative imaginations/swarovski that I picked up at my
lss. I think you can see their sparkle a little better in this second photo- but I apologize for the glare! It's so grey and gloomy out today so it was pretty difficult to get the lighting right to photograph this layout.
So, if your pic's are piling up, your looking for some incentive to jumpstart your scrapping, and you enjoy challenges, I encourage you to check out Samantha's new group! Should be lots of fun!
I'll be back soon with a few more Valentine's I'm working on and, just maybe, another layout!
Thanks for looking :)
Have a wonderful evening!
~Jennifer

A pose couldn't touch this pic! I cherish the times I catch my kids in the most natural moments on film. Sometimes I get the best shots when they don't even know I have the camera out. This is a page to be treasured. It's amazingly beautiful.
